About Us

Decisions 4 Life is managed by experienced health care and rehabilitation professionals with over 45 years of management and clinical experience, knowledge of insurance benefits, resources, and care planning.

Ruth Hansen is a Registered Nurse with a Master's of Science degree in Nursing Administration and extensive geriatric and home care experience. She has directed a high quality, hospital-based Home Care Department for 20 years in Wilmington, Delaware. Ruth coordinated discharge planning among the nursing staff of one of the hospitals associated with the Mayo Clinic; she started a home care program in a VA hospital; and worked in various other home care agencies, nursing homes and hospitals. Ruth is a nationally certified case manager (CCM).

Susan Hammond is a licensed Occupational Therapist and Nursing Home Administrator. She has directed the Rehabilitation Services Department of a Wilmington community hospital for 16 years and she has had experience setting up and managing a hospital-based skilled nursing facility. She has a Master's of Science degree in Health Administration. Sue worked as an Occupational Therapist in a variety of patient care settings including home care, hospital, rehabilitation unit, outpatient, and nursing home settings. Sue is a nationally certified case manager (CCM).
